TOW/HAUL MODE
For GM trucks with available Drive Mode Selector technology, getting ready for the long haul is as simple as turning a dial. Tow/Haul mode is one of six possible driving configurations that fine-tunes your truck and modified transmission shifting points to deliver the best possible performance for any given situation. Other modes include Off-Road and Snow/Ice.
CAMERA VIEWS
No matter what situation you're in, General Motors has a unique camera view to help you through driving, parking, and connecting your trailer. Both the GMC Sierra and Chevy Silverado family of trucks offer up to 15 distinct camera views built especially for trailering, including bed view, surround view, bowl view, and a transparent trailer view that lets you see what's going on behind your trailer for easier parking maneuvers.
MOBILE TRAILERING APPS
Both Silverado and Sierra trucks offer mobile trailering apps that allow drivers to interact with and monitor their trailers. The apps include pre-departure checklists with illustrated step-by-step instructions for hitching trailers, the ability to create unique trailer profiles, lighting test functionality, and a dashboard to monitor important trailer metrics like tire pressure. A Theft Alert feature is also built into the app that notifies you if your trailer is unexpectedly disconnected.
SMART TRAILER INTEGRATION
Another game-changing feature available in the newest generation of General Motors trucks is smart trailer integration.
