AWESOME ENGINE PERFORMANCE

The base engine offered in the GMC Sierra 1500 is a turbocharged 2.7-liter that uses a 10-speed automatic to provide an awesome combination of capability and efficiency. At the SLE trim and above, the truck is available with an optional Duramax® turbodiesel six-cylinder. It's even more efficient and, with 460 lb-ft of torque, it's perfectly suited to big jobs. It's also standard in the AT4 model.

The 2022 Sierra 1500 Denali has a standard 5.3-liter V8. Big and powerful, it can tow up to 11,200 pounds when properly equipped.[1] The Denali is also offered with a 6.2-liter V8 rated at 420 horsepower and 460 lb-ft of torque. If you're regularly hauling bricks or towing a heavy trailer, this is the engine you want. It can tow up to 13,000 pounds.[2]
